Dubai: The Dubai Police rescued a three-year-old boy whose arm was stuck in a pool drain at the Gardens on Saturday evening.
Major Ahmad Attiq Bu Riqaba, Deputy Director of Dubai Police Rescue Department, said they reached the location within five minutes when the incident was reported to the operations room of the Dubai Police.
It took the rescuers around half an hour to release the child's arm as they had to use hydraulic equipments to break the concrete around the drainage and the L-shaped tube where the child’s arm was stuck to his elbow.
The boy was transferred to Rashid Hospital for further treatment, said Major Bu Riqaba.
